Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how itoms uses cookies and similar technologies. itoms is designed to be privacy-friendly and uses minimal cookies.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are used to remember information about your visit, such as your login session.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session. Keeps you logged in. | Session / 7 days |
2.2 Analytics and Product Improvement
We use a few tools to understand how itoms is used.
Plausible Analytics is privacy-focused, does not use cookies and does not track individual users. It runs on all pages and collects anonymised, aggregate page views and referral sources.
We also use PostHog for product analytics, which may set cookies and store data in your browser to understand feature usage.
Microsoft Clarity records how signed-in users interact with the itoms admin dashboard, so we can identify usability problems. Clarity is off by default and only runs if you have explicitly allowed it under Account, Privacy. You can turn it on or off at any time.
Clarity runs in strict masking mode: all text on the page is replaced with placeholders inside your browser before anything is sent, so your content, your subscribers' details and your account information are never transmitted to Microsoft. We do not send your name, email address or account identifier to Clarity.
Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited act as separate, independent data controllers for the data Clarity collects, and may use it for their own purposes, including improving Microsoft products and creating user profiles for advertising. We do not connect Clarity to Microsoft Advertising. For details, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Clarity sets several cookies once you have allowed it, including _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, MR and SM. Their exact purposes are published by Microsoft and may change — see Microsoft's current cookie list.
Clarity also stores data in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes it.
3. Cookies in the Embed Widget
The itoms embed widget (used by publishers on their websites) does not set any cookies. Video playback is handled by Cloudflare Stream, which may set essential cookies for video delivery.
4. Managing Your Choices
Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as you would not be able to sign in without them.
You can turn usage analytics on or off at any time in Account, Privacy. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a refusal and do not enable it.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
5. Changes
If we introduce new types of cookies, we will update this policy and notify users as appropriate.
